Robert received both his Bachelors of Civil Law and Common Law from McGill University in 1989 and later completed a Graduate Diploma in Taxation at McGill University.

Robert is a partner and focuses his practice in the areas of tax planning, corporate reorganizations and tax litigation. Robert is the head of the firm's Wills, Trusts and Estates department and is involved in estate and succession planning, as well as estate administration.

Robert is a lecturer in McGill University's Graduate Diploma in Taxation Program on the taxation of trusts and has spoken frequently to accountants on various tax-related topics. Robert is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Association de planification fiscale et financière and the Society of Tax and Estate Practitioners.
